Examples of Past Events:
Research Horror Stories (Fall 2018)
“Students listened to a panel of Epidemiology and Biostatistics professors share their most memorable stories of research gone wrong. This social event helped students learn more about the many challenges researchers in epidemiology and biostatistics face in the work they do.”
Resume/CV Workshop (Spring 2019)
“A representative from Western’s Career Education center gave a presentation on writing effective resumes and cover letters. At the end of the presentation students had the opportunity to have a one-on-one consultation with the presenter to improve their own resumes/cover letters.”
Lessons Learned Outside the Classroom (Fall 2019)
“A panel of professors from the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics shared their life experiences, and provided tips and guidance related to graduate school and working after school.”
Barstool Research (Spring 2020)
“Barstool research is an opportunity for students to meet in a casual setting and engage in thought-provoking conversation about topics relevant to Epi and Biostats”
