OUR MISSION

The Canadian Society for Epidemiology and Biostatistics is a professional organization that fosters and promotes these two interrelated sciences to improve health and well-being through research and practice.

About CSEB

The CSEB is a Canadian organization of professionals, founded in 1990, for the purpose of fostering epidemiological and biostatistical research and practice in Canada. The CSEB facilitates networking among epidemiologists and biostatisticians across Canada and communicates breaking news of relevance to our members. We promote the professions of epidemiology and biostatistics at all levels of government, academia and industry, and we engage with our counterparts in the USA and internationally. Not only do we assist faculties and schools of medicine and public health to improve training in our disciplines, we also bridge both the research and practice aspects of our disciplines through close collaboration with other groups such as the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), Health Canada, the Association of Public Health Epidemiologists in Ontario (APHEO), the Saskatchewan Epidemiology Association (SEA), the Statistical Society of Canada (SSC), and the Canadian Association of Veterinary Epidemiology Preventive Medicine (CAVEPM).
