Call for 2020 CSEB Student-Led Speaker Series Hosts
Calling all students – is there a certain epidemiologist or biostatistician you’ve always dreamed of meeting? Well, this could be your opportunity!
The CSEB board is now considering student-led proposals to host a lecture as part of our 2020 CSEB Student-Led Speaker Series. CSEB has a strong history of supporting student-led events during the off years of the CSEB Biennial National Conferences. We are excited to announce that this year we will be hosting a series of live streamed lecture series across the country!
Please send all proposals (maximum one-page) to secretariat@cseb.ca with a copy to pophealthanalytics.dlsph@utoronto.ca by November 15, 2019 with the following information:
- School and lead faculty/department(s)
- Names of student and faculty leads
- Speaker’s name and affiliation(s)
- Rationale: briefly explain why your school would like to host one of 2020 CSEB speaker series events and why you have selected this speaker
- Feasibility: highlight any resources, plans, or supports that are in place (or forthcoming) to support the hosting of the event/ speaker
In addition to streaming services, we will provide a maximum of $3000 to support the travel expenses for your speaker; i.e., including flight and accommodations.
The successful student groups will be notified by December 2019. Thank you for supporting the strong CSEB student community!
