Call for Submission of
Workshops & Mini Symposia
The Organizing Committee of the 2025 CSEB conference invites proposals for pre-conference Workshops and Mini Symposia relevant to the conference theme, Epidemiology & Biostatistics: Innovating for better health. Submissions are due November 22, 2024, 11:59pm ET. These will be reviewed and selected by the Scientific Committee approximately by December 8, 2024.
The Workshops will be held prior to the main conference, on Monday August 11, 2025. Workshops are open to all, and are typically well attended by trainees and early-career researchers. They will be offered over a three-hour period.
Mini Symposia will be integrated into the parallel sessions of the main conference. The typical structure of Mini Symposia includes short introductory remarks by the chair, 10- to 15-minute talks by 4 or 5 speakers, and a panel discussion, for a total duration of 75 minutes. Proposals should include diversity among the presenters (e.g., home institutions, good balance between established and new investigators, equitable representation). The Scientific Committee encourages Mini Symposia that integrate both biostatisticians and epidemiologists.
